Hosting Facts

For your 40 Pounds and Under Pup Stays,

Things to know

  • Meet & Greets for bookings are required (about 15 min. either in person or by phone) and may answer any questions you have too.

  • We act as a pack during your dog's stay. Your dog is not separated or kenneled during the day unless they show signs of over stimulation and need a break. Family works from home, so pups are regularly with one of us. Pups find naps in dog beds, hammocks, or on furniture and take a 2pm dog nap (a normal pup timetable).

Safety Measures

  • For safety, I request proof of each dog's vaccination requirements before arriving on the property. Rabies, Distemper, Bordetella. Flea/Tick in season.

  • At Exit Doors, we implement a Two Door Gate System to effectively prevent escape. An additional safeguard at each exit.

  • Dogs are supervised while outdoors; smaller dogs are hosted with a person present during potty breaks.

  • Dogs have access to a fenced in portion of our backyard. The full length of the home and top tier of yard for potty breaks.

  • Dogs eat sectioned off from other pups at meal times to prevent arguments over food.

  • If we leave, Dogs are kept separated from one another. I rely on your instructions to provide a room, gated space, or crates with comfy bedding and water.

  • Trash cans have automatic lids or are kept behind doors

  • Kristi is insured, Pet First Aid & CPR certified. Emergency Numbers are posted and in cell during walks. First Aid kits are in the home & vehicles.

  • Garage fertilizers are kept in closed storage containers.

  • Dogs will stay on the property if you do not consent to "field trips" (parks, walks, walking trails, etc.) often staying back with a family member or separated as stated above. Permission for outings are selected on the paperwork.

  • If you approve walks, please bring your dogs' harness if you own one. Dog beeper collars are allowed for field /yard runs &, bark collars. I assess your dogs need for bark collars when here based on ability to redirect and activity which can help refocus their attention while here.

  • Dogs Not suitable to board at this time: Those with reactivity to other dogs and new people, or with severe anxiety. Some anxiety is normal. If you're unsure where your dog falls, please contact.

Food

  • Please bring your dog's food labeled with his or her name/serving amount. Raw foods aren't accepted (unless freeze-dried from the store).

  • Homemade food is accepted. It must be cooked prior to bookings.

  • Your dogs' treats are welcome. I do provide some, and some pups have a preference (smile).

Medications

  • Topical and Oral Medications are permitted (please provide the food item for pills or call to ensure I have what your pup needs).

  • Medications are tracked on Med Sheets

  • Medications must be in pill bottles or weekly pill counters, but bottles need to accompany weekly pill counters for verification as an additional safety measure. Thank you!
